Manufacturing process: the fibres and dyes of this garment are handmade by rural women from the province of García Rovira in Santander, who preserve ancestral practices of caring for and shearing sheep species, as well as spinning with a spindle, a tool that produces fine and resistant threads. The process of dyeing the fabrics is carried out with techniques shared by many communities in Colombia through the use of seeds and other elements that, when applied to wool and cotton, provide a great variety of tones.
