ALUNA
The concept of “Aluna ” comes from the meaning that this word has for the Kogis (an indigenus community in Colombia), Aluna is both thought and ocean, and the ocean is something primordial to creation for them, the whole cosmos was created in this state.
It inspires us greatly to think of the sea and our experience with summer days as a conductor of poetic thought, as a way of being in a state of Aluna dressed in LEDA
The collection is inspired by the colors and textures of summer, in the pink and violet of the sunsets, the caramel of the sand, the nacre of the shells and the luminous greens.

We worked a part of our collection with the embroidery of the weavers of Mampuján, an Afro-descendant community of María la Baja, Colombia. Each embroidery is different because it is made with scraps of fabric.
Very close to the sea and Montes de María, we have interpreted Aluna’s moments in these embroideries.
We also made a collaboration between the artist Mahle Matallana and LEDA, with two of her digital sculptures inspired by the sea and the contemplation of the stones.
